Cobb Veterinary Clinic Veterinarians

Our veterinarians are excited to be at Cobb Veterinary Clinic where they are part of an amazing family. They are committed to your animals whether it be a family pet, performance animal, or livestock.

Kristina McConaughey, DVM

Dr. McConaughey is a 2000 graduate from Texas A&M Veterinary School. She is a Midland native and has practiced in the Midland area for over 20 years. She is interested in all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery and enjoys working on large animals too. She has spent time advancing her skills in dentistry, small animal surgery, and ultrasound. Dr. McConaughey and her husband Madison run a large Angus ranch in Irion county, where she spends time helping with the veterinary side of the operation. She and Madison have three very busy girls who you can find helping at the ranch and the clinic on an almost daily basis. In her free time, Dr. McConaughey enjoys spending time with her family at the family ranch and fishing in Del Rio.

Dr. Shawna Westmark Cobb Veterinary Clinic

Shawna Westmark, DVM

Dr. Westmark joined the Cobb Vet Clinic team as an associate in 2020. She is a 2016 graduate of Oregon State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She grew up in a small town outside Olympia, Washington, where she learned a love of animals at a young age. After graduation from OSU, Dr. Westmark pursued her passion for Equine Reproduction and neonatology by completing a Field Care Internship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington, Kentucky. She then spent the next three years shuttling between hemispheres as a seasonal Equine Reproduction associate. Dr. Westmark has spent her time at CVC expanding her small animal skills and the other areas of large animal medicine. She hopes to continue to grow the equine breeding program and is planning to get acupuncture certified in the next few years. In her free time, Dr. Westmark enjoys spending time with her dog, friends and family, cooking, and being outdoors.

Brittany Craig

Brittany's Bio
Brittany is a licensed veterinary technician. She was born in Nevada and raised in Idaho. There she attended the College of Southern Idaho. Brittany visited Texas every summer when she was little to see her grandparents. As a hobby, she shows horses with her grandmother. At home, Brittany has four cats and two dogs. Brittany loves spending time with her family and traveling and hopes to one day travel all over the world!

Destiny Cacy

Destiny's Bio
Destiny has been part of the Cobb Vet Clinic family since May 2012. She was part of the last class to graduate from Midland College’s Veterinary Technology Program in 2012 and became a licensed veterinary technician after passing her national and state exams in 2013. At home, Destiny enjoys riding her two horses, baking, and spending time with her family. Destiny loves learning and is currently working on obtaining her credentials to become an Equine Veterinary Nursing Technician.

Sandy Haller

Sandy's Bio
Sandy has been with Cobb Vet Clinic for a little over a year and has eight years of prior tech experience with an animal clinic in southern Indiana. She has been married to her husband Terry for 30 years, and they have one son, TyDaniel. Her family is very involved in team roping. Sandy has a French Bulldog named Gurtie Sue, a Border Collie named Millie, a miniature horse named Little Man, and two Quarter Horses named Tiny and LB. Sandy is a lover of all animals, but dogs are her favorite. Sandy’s favorite things to do are vacation at the beach or float in the pool.

Hana Bott

Hana's Bio
Hana has been with Cobb Vet Clinic since 2018. She started as a kennel tech her Junior year at Greenwood High School and quickly learned everything she needed to know about being a technician. It wasn’t long after Hana became a full-blown technician! Hana has been attending Clarendon College since 2021. Hana spends her free time hanging out with her two dogs, Dusty, a chocolate Lab, and Sandi, a Golden Retriever. Hana plans on attending West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas, to become a licensed Veterinary Technician.

Yoly Tovar

Yoly's Bio
Yoly interned here at Cobb Vet Clinic during her senior year of high school. She recently graduated from Greenwood High School and is now working full-time at the clinic. In the future, Yoly plans on attending Howard College in Big Spring, Texas, for her basics and then transferring to Tarleton University in Stephenville, Texas, where she plans to major in pre-vet studies. Yoly aims to either become a large animal/ equine veterinarian or a licensed veterinary technician specializing in equine nursing. Yoly has a passion for horses and enjoys team roping in her free time. She hopes that one day her career dream is fulfilled and that she excels in what she does!

Janice Reyes

Janice's Bio
Janice has been in the veterinary industry since 2016 and has been with Cobb Vet Clinic since late 2019. She is our head receptionist but also enjoys helping out as a technician for a large animal. Janice is always eager to help and learn and has gained a lot of experience with horses while she’s been here at the clinic. Janice is happily married and a proud mother of four. In her free time, she enjoys getting her hands dirty while fixing her vehicles!

Jana Helmer

Jana's Bio
Jana has been with Cobb Vet Clinic since April 2011. She started as our front office receptionist and was promoted to Practice Manager in December 2020. She also co-owns Sonwell Water Well Service, which she runs during her hours away from the clinic. Jana is married and has a son, Howie Taylor, who graduated from Greenwood High School in 2021. Jana has dogs and cats of her own at home and enjoys camping and spending time with her family.

Marissa Rivera

Marissa's Bio

Marissa began working at Cobb Vet Clinic in 2021. Prior to working at the clinic, she was a Certified Nurses Aid for six years. Marissa is not afraid of hard work and is very quick to learn new tasks! Marissa has four fur babies at home; one of them is a three-legged cat named Jerry she adopted from a client while working here at the clinic.

Laura Farber

Laura's Bio

Laura started at Cobb Vet Clinic as a receptionist in late 2021. She is a West Texan born and raised. Laura has a soft spot in her heart for all things farm animals and plans on pursuing that love further. In her free time, she loves to be outdoors – rain or shine, catching a baseball game, or reading a book.

Lani Franco

Lani's Bio

Lani is a mom of four, a full-time vet tech, and a part-time dog groomer from Big Spring, TX. She has a Yorkie, a Sheltie, two cats, and a miniature pig. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her friends and family, enjoys fishing, watching movies, photography, painting, and playing sports with her kids.

Kelsey Sparks

Kelsey's Bio

Kelsey has been with Cobb Vet Clinic for several years. After working for the clinic while attending Greenwood High School, she went to Midland College where she graduated with her Associate of Science, and then on to Angelo State where she received her Bachelor of Animal Science degree. After graduation, she took some time off and then in January of 2017 started working back at the clinic again. When not at work Kelsey loves spending time with her husband, reading, and being outdoors. She has two spirited german shepherds and one sassy cat.

She is currently on maternity leave getting all the love and snuggles she can from her newborn son.
