Cobb Veterinary Clinic Veterinarians
Our veterinarians are excited to be at Cobb Veterinary Clinic where they are part of an amazing family. They are committed to your animals whether it be a family pet, performance animal, or livestock.
Shawna Westmark, DVM
Dr. Westmark joined the Cobb Vet Clinic team as an associate in 2020. She is a 2016 graduate of Oregon State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She grew up in a small town outside Olympia, Washington, where she learned a love of animals at a young age. After graduation from OSU, Dr. Westmark pursued her passion for Equine Reproduction and neonatology by completing a Field Care Internship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington, Kentucky. She then spent the next three years shuttling between hemispheres as a seasonal Equine Reproduction associate. Dr. Westmark has spent her time at CVC expanding her small animal skills and the other areas of large animal medicine. She hopes to continue to grow the equine breeding program and is planning to get acupuncture certified in the next few years. In her free time, Dr. Westmark enjoys spending time with her dog, friends and family, cooking, and being outdoors.
Fernanda Guerrero-Brooks, DVM
Dr. Guerrero also loves all aspects of small animal medicine including preventative care, diagnostics, and surgery. She enjoys providing care to dogs and cats, and cherishes the bond between these pets and their owners. During her time in vet school she worked at a low-cost clinic where she provided medical care and vaccines to dogs and cats in low income communities. It was through this experience that she developed a passion for giving back to the community, and providing high-quality low-cost care.
In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, hiking, swimming, and relaxing with her husband Malik and her two pups, Cin and Zara. She is also an avid fitness enthusiast, an amateur baker, and a self-proclaimed foodie.
Laura started at Cobb Vet Clinic as a receptionist in late 2021. She is a West Texan born and raised. Laura has a soft spot in her heart for all things farm animals and plans on pursuing that love further. In her free time, she loves to be outdoors – rain or shine, catching a baseball game, or reading a book.
Lani is a mom of four, a full-time vet tech, and a part-time dog groomer from Big Spring, TX. She has a Yorkie, a Sheltie, two cats, and a miniature pig. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her friends and family, enjoys fishing, watching movies, photography, painting, and playing sports with her kids.
with her friends and family. She has a laidback/goofy personality and fits right in with our staff and clients.
Meet Jamie, our unassuming but equally beloved receptionist, with a heart full of compassion for our clients and their pets. Jamie’s love for animals isn’t just restricted to her role at the front desk – she’s been enthusiastically serving in the veterinary field for over a year, continually striving to improve the lives of animals and their human companions.
Her love for animals extends into her personal life as well. Jamie cherishes every moment spent playing ball with her playful dog, Sloane, creating unforgettable memories of joy and laughter. Yet her interests don’t stop there; Jamie is a well-rounded individual, thriving outdoors and nurturing her love for nature through diligent yard work, where she’s often spotted enjoying the company of her canine companion.
An excellent cook and a passionate baker, Jamie brings her zest for life and culinary skills to the table, literally and figuratively. Her wholesome meals and delicious pastries have been the talk of the team – adding warmth and camaraderie to the clinic.
Despite her quiet demeanor, Jamie’s impact is profound. Her empathetic nature and dedication to client care resonate with everyone she interacts with, making her an invaluable asset to our team. She brings us her professional skills and heartfelt enthusiasm, reminding us daily of the joy of caring for our furry friends.
